Engineers
Mike Harvey graduated from Loyola University New Orleans in 2001
with a Bachelor of Music and a Minor in Business, concentration
in Violin. He has had formal instruction in studio recording and
MIDI production, including training in MOTU Digital Performer and
Pro Tools. He worked as a teacher assistant for the Electronic Music,
Music Technologies and Recording Techniques classes at Loyola University.
He has worked at other local studios including Stonee's Studio and
Down 'N Dirty Records Recording Studio. His work experience includes
a wide variety of musical styles, ranging from classical and jazz
to metal to hip hop to indy rock, with varying roles in the production
process, including arranging and producing. He has been working
with cutting edge MIDI and audio recording gear since 1996, keeping
up with all of the latest developments in the industry.
Along with audio engineering, he teaches guitar and violin lessons
privately at St. Martin's Episcopal School. He is the lead vocalist,
guitarist, and songwriter for his original band, DAYJOB. He also
works occasionally performing as a violinist, violist, and guitarist
at various private engagements, such as weddings.
